How to request deletion of your personal data from WasitPay

Request deletion of your data

WasitPay is operated by Bluenova Labs SARL, Rabat, Morocco. You can request deletion of your WasitPay account and associated personal data at any time, in either of these ways:

  1. By email: send a request to [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request“, from the email address linked to your account, and include the phone number registered on the account.
  2. In the app: where available, use Settings → Account → Delete account in app.wasitpay.ma.

We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it. Once verified, we will confirm receipt and process the deletion, and we will notify you when it is complete.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile and login credentials.
  • Your contact details used for notifications (including your WhatsApp number).
  • Personal data not subject to a legal retention obligation.
What we must keep, and for how long: as a platform working with a regulated payment partner, certain records — completed transaction records, and identity-verification (KYC/KYB) records held under our partner’s regulatory obligations — must be retained for the periods required by Moroccan law (including tax, accounting, and anti-money-laundering rules) even after account deletion. Such records are kept only as long as the law requires, are restricted from ordinary use, and are then deleted.

Transactions still in progress must be completed, refunded, or otherwise resolved before the account can be deleted.

Data received through WhatsApp / Meta

If you interacted with WasitPay through the WhatsApp Business Platform, deleting your WasitPay account also removes your number and message history from our systems, subject to the legal retention rules above. Data held by Meta Platforms itself is governed by Meta’s own policies and deletion tools.
